Peaceful Human Chain by Orphans & Good Citizens of Dhaka for 10 minutes was held In front of Mirpur Indoor Stadium, Section-10, Dhaka on 8th November 2010 to celebrate World Orphans Day. Lion Md. Jasim Uddin, President, Orphans Welfare Foundation and Ex Officio-Bangladesh Air Force delivered an important message…’All should be aware of orphans’ rights and help them to be come a good citizen in our society. There are 145 million orphans in the world. Orphans are the most neglected children of the society. A nation can never prosper----leaving a part of people of the society behind. We should raise our voice on behalf of the orphans. That is why Orphans Welfare Foundation is observing World Orphans Day for the first time in Bangladesh. We hope the National Parliament & the Government will take proper steps to establish the orphans in our society’ Squadron Leader (Rted.) Nur E Alam was present as the Chief Guest.
